We provided full end-to-end video production for the inaugural Retail Media Summit UK, co-hosted by SMG and Path to Purchase Institute.
This flagship event was designed to help CPG and FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) brands and retailers based in the UK and US navigate the complicated, rapidly shifting retail media arena. The curated cross-Atlantic event featured retailer and brand leadership panels covering the latest technology and media innovations in retail media networks, retail media activation best practices, campaign measurability, the need for standardisation, and much more. There was proprietary research digging into shopper engagement with retail media and consumer behaviour across the path to purchase. Guests joined experts from the UK and U.S. for a full day of education and inspiration, with opportunities to network, exchange ideas and gain invaluable insights to help businesses unlock the full power of retail media.
As well as providing longform edits of all the full presentations (including integrated graphics) and a series of hosted on-the-spot interviews with key speakers, the main deliverable we were asked to create was this exciting highlights film, showcasing all of the amazing hard work that had been put into the event.
We based this highlights film around a vox pops approach to drive the narrative, and made sure we arrived early to capture guests arriving. We used our interviewer to pull participants out to our camera throughout the day, and in between interviews captured dynamic b-roll and supporting footage of the events taking place, as well as networking, lunch chats and general ambience. The film was a great success and allowed the event to live beyond the physical place and day in companies’ minds.
