“Unexplored Films are an absolute joy to work with. Steve helps to get the little details right from the off to ensure that filming and editing run smoothly. From finding the unique, incidental shots and making suggestions on different angles to explore, to choosing the most suitable music to create the atmosphere of the video, Steve and his team work tirelessly to ensure that the final films are of a high quality and match the aims of the initial brief. Unexplored Films use their expertise to guide you through the process and put their all into each film. We look forward to working with them again in the future.” – Bloxham School
Bloxham School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school in the village of Bloxham near Banbury in Oxfordshire, set in idyllic countryside and built from beautiful Cotswold stone.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school quickly had to move their entire 2020 Open Day event online, so they commissioned us to create a series of accessible films. As well as the main video where Headmaster Paul Sanderson introduces the ethos of Bloxham School, we produced separate videos to give an introduction to prospective parents and students for each year group as well as boarding life, and we also created a virtual tour where the school captains take the audience around the site and show off the numerous school facilities.
We filmed these videos with a combination of key interviews with students, pieces to camera with staff using an autocue, immersive supporting footage of the beautiful site and aerial drone shots to show the school in its beautiful landscape. We scheduled various shots of the site to be timed with the best lighting and activities taking place on the sports field and in other areas.
The school were delighted with the finished films and they allowed more people to ‘attend’ their open day than ever before.
